Our Basic Life Support training (BLS) courses provide the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to respond safely and effectively in life-threatening emergencies. This half-day course is fully aligned with the Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines (2021) and is ideal for employees across all businesses.
The BLS training is designed for individuals with no prior experience or those seeking to refresh their skills. The course blends essential theory with practical, hands-on sessions to build confidence and competence. There’s no final exam; instead, you will have a supportive, ongoing assessment from your trainer throughout the session.
Once complete, you’ll receive a BLS certificate valid for 1 year. The course costs £65 per person (no VAT) and includes a manual for each student. Courses take place at our training facility in Bury, or they can be conducted at your facility for groups of up to 12. BLS Course Content
Training is delivered in line with Resuscitation Council UK (2021) Guidelines and includes protocols for adults, children, and infants. You’ll cover:
Resuscitation theory and understanding the chain of survival
Incident management and keeping yourself safe
CPR for adults and children
Defibrillation (AED) – safe and confident use
Recovery position for unresponsive casualties
Emergency care (dental only)
Choking management in all age groups

Certification & Assessment
No Final Exam!
You’ll be assessed continuously throughout the course by your trainer, ensuring you can demonstrate the skills safely and effectively. On completion, you’ll receive a Basic Life Support certificate valid for 1 year.
We recommend refreshing basic life support training skills annually to keep up to date with the latest protocols and maintain confidence in an emergency.
